Mind-Body Bridging (MBB): 10 week program

MBB is for you, if:

  • You have sought help before with limited success and now  want permanent, proven results for conditions such as: fear, stress, insomnia, addictions, psychosomatic symptoms, recovery from abuse, behavioural symptoms in children and adolescents, ASD, etc.
  • You have limited time due to your busy schedule and can only commit to  a 2-10 week program
  • You want to work on a specific issue (e.g., trauma, burnout) yet you want to experience  windfalls in all aspects of your life,  and learn to apply  MBB techniques to all your current or future issues
  • You are committed to make changes and stick to a 2-10 week program
  • You are committed to learning and practicing proven techniques
  • You want to reconnect to yourself and develop new ways of living.

What is MBB?

MBB is a unique method of healing that represents a new paradigm in mind/body medicine. Having withstood the rigors of intense clinical trials and surpassing all expectations, Mind-Body Bridging opens the door to a well of healing that few people discover, yet is available to everyone.  It is a 21st Century mind/body healing modality that is neurologically-based and scientifically proven.

Mind-Body Bridging regulates what brain researchers call the Default Mode Network and activates the Executive Network, the healthiest and most productive state of brain functioning. When the Executive Network is active, our mind and body heal as efficiently and quickly as is possible and we experience our inner source of healing, power, and wisdom.  We call this natural functioning.  For more information about MBB click here.

Living a Vital Life with Acceptance & Commitment Therapy  (ACT) – (6 to 12 sessions*)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy may be for you if:

  • You have lost your loved one
  • You are in intense emotional pain
  • You have lost a relationship important to you
  • You feel stuck
  • The feeling of continuous emotional discomfort drains you of vitality
  • You feel your attempts to regulate your emotional pain are futile
  • You want to accept painful events from the past

What is ACT?

ACT is a branch of Behavioural Therapy based on psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies.  It blends commitment and behaviour-change strategies to increase psychological flexibility and focuses on the acceptance of unwanted thoughts, feelings, and memories.

CBT – Modifying Thoughts, Behavior and Emotions in a short time (6 to 12 sessions*)

CBT is for you, if:

  • You have limited time due to your busy schedule
  • You want to work on a specific issue (e.g., quitting smoking)
  • You are committed to making immediate changes
  • You are committed to learning and practicing proven techniques
  • You are stressed, but don’t know how to relax
  • You experience anxiety, depression or mood swings
  • You run the same pattern of thoughts in your head
  • You are aware that your thinking style is biased (e.g. you think in all-or-nothing terms)
  • You want to improve your communication skills
  • You feel your relationships with family and friends are deteriorating
  • You are unable to control your anger
  • You find it difficult to get started on tasks and procrastinate

What is CBT?

CBT examines the link between the initial thought process, resulting emotion, and consequent behaviour.  Identification of Negative Automatic Thoughts (NATs) is essential for CBT because very often certain thoughts are so ingrained in our style of thinking that they become automatic. For example, someone might think that every mistake serves as a proof that he or she is a failure in life.

Client-Centered Counselling : Express your thoughts and feelings at your own pace (from 6 to 20* sessions)

Client-centered Counselling is for you if:

  • You have never been in therapy before, and are not sure what you want or how to proceed
  • You want to go at your own pace without being directed
  • You feel that you have to find your own answers slowly
  • Something is vaguely wrong, but you can’t pin it down
  • You want to talk about your feelings without being interrupted
  • You want to unburden yourself by talking about a secret or something traumatic that happened in the past (i.e. secret abortion, an affair)
  • You are struggling with an important decision and want to feel supported while exploring your options
  • You have an ethical dilemma and want to clarify your values

What is Client-Centered Counselling?

Client-centered counselling is also known as person-centered therapy (PCT) and Rogerian psychotherapy.  It is one of the most widely used models in psychotherapy.  In this approach, the counsellor creates a comfortable, non-judgmental environment by showing empathy and giving the client unconditional positive regard.  This style of therapy is non-directive and encourages clients to find their own solutions at their own pace.

*The number of sessions may vary for each individual.
